WireFree Solar Kit Ni-MH with Batteries
The new WireFree Solar Pack harnesses renewable solar energy to power WireFree motorized window coverings and offers a green alternative by reducing the replacement and disposal of standard batteries. An energy-efficient alternative to powering motorized window coverings.
How does it work? The solar (photovoltaic) panel is simply mounted on the inside of the window opening and converts the sun's light into electrical energy. The harnessed electrical energy is stored within a special Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery which powers Somfy wirefree motorized window coverings, resulting in a maintenance-free, environmentally friendly alternative to disposable lithium batteries.
The WireFree Solar Pack can be used in a wide array of environments. Windows facing North, South, East or West exposures. As well as high sun or limited sun areas year-round and most window types including single pane, double pane, and energy saving glass.
It is convenient and cost-effective - reduces battery replacement and preserves the environment. Installation is easy - doesn’t require an electrician, which minimizes installation time and cost. The solar panel is discreet/low profile which makes it easy to conceal and preserve the design of the window. This item is compatible with most Somfy powered WireFree window coverings.
